Team COMETS was formed in 2004 by a bunch of cricket enthusiasts. This club was formed by a group of men who had played the game of cricket at different levels.
Comets is nice a blend of experience and youth. This team actively participates in both hardball (leather ball) and tape ball (taped tennis ball) versions of the game. It is a highly competitive and skillful group of players, and a fighting unit.
Our philosophy is to build and maintain such a strong and formidable unit for all versions of this game, that will be an example for other to follow both on and off the field. Among other great achievements of this team so far, we have 3 DCL championship trophies (DCL edition-1, 7 and 9) under our belt.

We as a team are very excited and proud to be part of DC Metro Area Cricket League (DCL). This league is the first ever cricket league anywhere in the world to officially recognize and represent both equally important versions of this wonder sport of cricket i.e. hardball (leather ball) and tape ball (taped tennis ball).
